Project team

Awadhesh Kumar Tripathi has worked with the documentation of Indian cultural practices in literature and the arts. He researches the genealogies of the modern Hindi poem and translates theoretical and literary writings from Hindi into English. He currently teaches in the Hindi programme at Ambedkar University Delhi.

Mrityunjay Tripathi is primarily a poet in Hindi, Braj and Bhojpuri. His research domain is the processes of canonization in Hindi in the colonial period. He is a translator of the biographies of Mallikarjun Mansur and Gangubai Hangal into Hindi. He currently teaches in the Hindi programme at Ambedkar University Delhi.

Shad Naved is a comparatist by training and works at the interface of literary history, Orientalisms, and gender and sexuality studies. He researches the historical trajectory of erotic poetry in Urdu, Persian and classical Arabic as these come together in the Urdu ghazal. He hopes to publish a critique of the history of sexuality through the poetry of the Indo-Islamic millennium. He currently teaches Comparative Literature and Translation Studies at Ambedkar University Delhi.
